EXQUISITE

I saw her quite by accident at first. Well, I didn’t actually see her, really. She went by me so quickly, leaving behind a blurred mixture of sensuousness that stimulated and teased my visual and olfactory senses.

As I hurried around the corner attempting to connect a reality to the fantasy her breeze created, I stopped abruptly and stood there awkwardly, noticing that she was in mid-conversation with an acquaintance---or a friend---or a lover, which, I did not know. I did not care. The only thing I knew, and the only thing I cared about was that I must let her know how her sudden and unexpected entrance into my consciousness had grossly indented a major part of my thought processes. And how I will forever link the fragrance with which the wind so graciously filled my nostrils as the turning point of my day—my life. You see, it could only be a great day, now. Life immediately became better than the previous minute.

As I stood there impatiently waiting for her to dismiss the ill-timed intruder, I knew instantly that I had to make a strategic move or the opportunity may be lost.

As I pondered the best approach to seize the moment, I took just a few minutes to survey the splendid creature that stood off in the distance. I had to embrace the view before me---And Oh, what a view.

She stood 5’ 1” maybe 5’ 2” and looked to weigh approximately 120-125 pounds. Slender, shapely build does not do justice in describing the epitome of femininity that presently caused my eyes to blink and blur in a desperate attempt to regain their focus.

She was wearing a suit (Jones of New York, I think, smile) that was unable to hide the brilliant gifts which God had bestowed upon her. Her white blouse lay partially open just enough to reveal some delicate charm which hung there, discreetly nestled between her breast. Her shapely legs could barely contain their proud contours beneath opaque stockings. The lines created a perfect symmetry as they melted into petite ankles and pampered feet supported by calves many women can only dream about. The outfit was tastefully "accessorized" with a single pendant and, oh yes, red shoes. The most splendid red shoes you have ever seen.

As I lifted my eyes from the ground and focused on her face, I noticed her hair was dark, with just a hint of Auburn, and hung in wind blown curls just slightly touching her shoulders. She had one side brushed back behind her left ear, revealing a gold hoop earring that dangled there as if it knew how privileged it was to caress her neck as she tilted her head.

She wore glasses of a stylish variety that gave her the look of an intellectual. But, no visual aide ever created could obscure the brilliance and utter beauty of what lay beneath. On the contrary! This titanium apparatus actually accentuated the windows to her soul to such an extent that I envisioned myself falling lightly down those tunnels and landing comfortably in her heart.

Oh, yes, those eyes were powerfully magnetic. They drew me to her rendering any attempt on my part to resist an action of futility.

Her hair cradled a face so stunning; one needed to view it carefully, and in sections, so as not to overlook the supreme architecture of the divine creator.

Her eyebrows arched high meeting a brow without line or hint of stress. Almond shaped chestnut colored eyes over flowing with seductive confidence were the hallmark of features with angelic proportions. High gorgeous cheekbones, perfectly symmetrical to a royal nose, suggested an ancestry of African/Indian nobility. There were a splattering of light brown freckles across her nose and cheeks that indicated God took special care to place each one in an array that would match perfectly with unblemished caramel skin.

Her mouth was only slightly open as she spoke to her friend. But as she smiled the thrill of finding the perfect pearl came over me, and as her lips parted one could almost feel the warmth emanating from the electricity with which it created for whoever was fortunate enough to be the recipient of its focus. Her lips sometimes took on that amused look that so excited me, I wanted to kiss her immediately and tell her thank you for disrupting my mundane, routine day. However, the inappropriateness of this gesture could potentially undermine the big picture… having her totally…mind, body, and spirit…in timeless waves of intimacy.

Yes, it was obvious that I had it bad for her. Just then, as her friend walked away, she turned toward me. She smiled that smile of knowing I had been staring at her the whole time, but it wasn’t a judgmental, offended, or arrogant smile. No, no! It was a smile of “Me too!” I knew then, right then, that my life would never be the same! And, I was oh, so very, very happy!
